June 2011
Hello!
I am certainly getting back into the swing of things after all these bank holidays, particularly as May was such a busy month for the Seasoned Events team. We’ve had some great events recently including the FHM 100 Sexiest Woman Party, some huge dinners, one with a Harry Potter-esque theme, plenty of weddings plus The Guide Live at Proud 2 – so different and all great fun.
I enjoyed another glorious weekend in Portugal a few weeks ago with a number of people we took away as a thank you for all their efforts over the last year. The weather was fantastic so plenty of relaxing and re-charging of batteries for all concerned. The response from the weekend away has been really positive. A couple of highlights were definitely Donna the beautician, which we arranged for our guests, and the plentiful food and drink throughout the weekend including a trip to a local fish restaurant overlooking the beach, which was just delightful.
In my spare time, I have also been busy incorporating trips to Stratford upon Avon, Menorca, Bath and Barcelona within back to back weekends – the visits were a wedding, a family getaway and two hen do’s respectively.
Menorca was a family holiday. They had all gone for a week but because of other commitments, I decided to go for three nights, however, I kept it a secret from them! So, imagine their surprise late Sunday afternoon when I strolled up to them sunbathing, cocktail in hand! Their faces were a picture, it was brilliant!
Barcelona was eventful, to say the least! There was sangria, sunbathing and spas, plus so much more. It’s definitely a story worth telling when I see you!
Such a good time was had on all occasions but it’s safe to say that I am really looking forward to a weekend at home coming up, without having to pack and live out of a suitcase!
I’ve got lots of exciting hospitality events coming up including a sumptuous Seasoned Events dinner, a showcase extravaganza incorporating Vegas, 80’s and Burlesque theming, and a pop concert! All will be fantastic but more of that in next month’s blog.
Anyway, have a great June – let’s hope for some more of the wonderfully sunny weather we’ve had recently.
Keep well and I’ll catch up with you soon,
Catherine x
