Going Green
In an environmentally conscious society, Seasoned Events recognizes the importance of sustaining the environment and operating in a manner that is ecologically sound.
We are therefore participating in a Carbon Trading programme in 2007, contributing towards global efforts to reduce global warming. This will begin with planting a substantial number of trees and will continue as a long term project for the future. Operating in a manner which is environmentally mindful has been an ongoing project following the purchase of agricultural land in 2005.
This allows our chefs to use fine quality fresh herbs and vegetables which are organically and locally produced and can be delivered from the garden to the tables in a matter of hours. This sustainability programme has been a great success to date and ensures that the produce that is locally grown is organically sound and has a minimal impact on the environment.
Within the hospitality industry the caterer is expected to trade in an ethical and fair manner in terms of supply chain and choices in purchasing, pricing and adding value for customers. In light of this Seasoned Events ensures that our food is sourced from reputable sources; we buy locally where possible to support the UK farming industry; we will not compromise on the quality of our products; we encourage our suppliers to minimise waste and use renewable sources and we avoid the use of genetically modified foods.
